MY STORY

 

In 2020, the company I had given years of my life to changed direction. The vision I had believed in was gone — and so was my faith in where I was headed.

So I walked away.

In fact, I was ready to walk away from the industry as whole, until I received the opportunity to work as an asset manager for a private group overseeing just 100 units. It was quiet. It was simple. And within a month I knew it wasn't enough.

I wanted to build something. Something I could be proud of. Something that stood for what I believed the property management industry needed and should be — high quality, trustworthy, and built on real relationships.

So as the world was on the brink of a pandemic and my oldest child was not even a year old yet, I started Liberty Asset Group.

In the beginning I was everything. The accountant. The software engineer. The salesperson. The manager. Every hat, every day, all at once. It was exhausting and exhilarating.

I'm competitive by nature. Always have been. So when I watched other companies grow and scale past me, I didn't get discouraged — I got focused. I built a model that didn't just look good from the outside but was profitable, efficient, and something I could genuinely stand behind.

Today Liberty Asset Group has 26 employees and manages over 2,000 units. We've earned the respect of people I once looked up to from a distance — and in many cases, we've surpassed them.

That didn't happen by accident. It happened by design.
